THERE ARE NO APPS THAT PREVENT EYE FATIGUE
Texting, e-mailing, surfing the web, gaming, and social networking make life more convenient, but digital devices can cause excessive stress on the eyes:
- When viewing a digital screen, our eyes become unsure exactly where to focus.
- The eye attempts to focus, then refocus, back and forth between about one inch in front of and behind the lit surface.
- This causes eye muscle fatigue, while the mechanism to relax and refresh the eye (blinking), slows to a very low rate.
